RESPECT IN SPORT - PARENT PROGRAM

One parent of every minor hockey player under the age of 18 in Ontario is now required to take the Respect in Sport Parent Program before participating in hockey programming (new rules from the Ontario Hockey Federation).

This course is mandatory to have the Player’s registration approved.

The cost of taking the program is $12 plus tax and is paid directly on-line when taking the program. A participant’s parent will only be required to take the program once. There is no requirement for re-taking the program annually.

Parents will be asked to link their completion certificate with their player's Hockey Canada profile(s).   The Club list is alphabetical with George Bell showing up as:  "HL - GEORGE BELL MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION".  Please make sure to add all of your players to this certificate.

Please note that the Coaches Respect in Sport Certificate does not fulfill this requirement.

YOUR CERTIFICATION WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE ADDED TO THE PLAYER PROFILE(S) YOU INDICATE IN THE CHILD MANAGEMENT SECTION OF THE ONLINE PROGRAMME.

You do not need to contact us when you have completed.  We will have access to the missing qualifications and will contact those families still missing the certification before the season starts.
